Queen Mary's Advice and Counselling Service are providing an Independent Students Support Group. This group is for Queen Mary students who are care experienced and/or estranged from family (If you no longer have a relationship with your parent(s), for example you don’t see them, or communicate with them, this is referred to as ‘estrangement’). The aim is to provide a safe, confidential space in which participants can support each other with personal, emotional and academic issues that can obstruct academic progress and disrupt university life.

The group will run online for 12 weeks, every Tuesday from 10am to 11am. The provisional dates are: 25th January 2022 to April 19th 2022 (excluding April 12th)Participants will be expected to attend all 12 sessions. Please note: although this group will run online you will need to be in the UK at the time you access the group.

If you're interested in joining the support group, please complete this short form to tell us a bit about yourself and we will be in touch via email to arrange an individual appointment with you. During this appointment we will discuss the group with you and you can ask us any questions you may have.
